Ongles rouges
Reds nails

Valérie Vanhoutvinck, Belgium, 2017, HDV, Format diffusion : 1.77 (HDV 16:9), 62 minutes

Ongles Rouges recounts the unique journey that 7 women make together.

One of them is on the outside, the others are on the inside. One overlooking the sea, the others in situation of confinement.

Over the course of the years, through their letters and their meetings, their daily actions, memories, private and social fabric is revealed. Together they evoke their everyday activities, their rituals, their links, their condition as females, daughters, mothers and the signs of ageing. The film constructs a common language, a fragile routine and a future lifetime.
