Jacques Dochamps

Jacques Dochamps is a film director graduate from INSAS (1974). He began his professional career as a director-screenwritter for the Belgian TV channel RTBF. A few years later, he created a magazine to defend the consumers, Minute Papillon, in collaboration with Mamine Pirotte. Several dozens of issues were broadcasted.
Then followed multiple TV productions: Les Pieds sur la Terre, la Tête dans les Etoiles in1980, a creative documentary about the rebirth of a small village in the High Alps; the studios of l’Ecran témoin in 1981, with Mamine Pirotte and Joseph Buron; C’est notre Terre in 1985, a creative documentary about the Innu indians in Quebec, and the edition of the weekly magazine Télétourisme in 1987, produced by Guy Lemaire.
In 1990, he participated to the Magazine 'Wallonie' created by Henri Mordant, and created the Magazine Turbulences. with Robert Neys and Patrick de Lamalle. Several long shows of 55 min.:
-Les Héros sont Eternels : Perceval ou chercher son Graal. Reflection about myths and history.
-La Grande Lessive - Investigation on money laundering.
-L’Euro et puis mourir - Investigation in Germany – Italy – France – UK before the plunge.
-La Naissance de Metshu - Back to the indans of Quebec.
- Rwanda, an 4 - 4 years after the genocide, a whole population is trying to put their life back together.

He then created the magazine Noms de dieux with Edmond Blattchen. He directed almost every issue, and then participated to over 40 reportings in the South countries and on every continent for the magazine DUNIA. 

In 2005, he was the authour of a theater play: Large Visage created in Brussels by 'Théâtre du Simorgh'. 
In 2008, he resumed the edition of Planète en Question with Patrick Lamalle and collaborated with Iota Production in 2010 for 4 documentaries of 52 minutes for the collection Planète en Question.
