Christophe Cotteret

French, Christophe Cotteret was born in Choisy-le-Roi on July 15, 1976. He is a theatre and video director for performing arts. Currently living in Brussels, Christophe spent the period 2002-2006 in Beirut and is still working in several Arab countries.
For 10 years, his projects allowed him to explore the political and geopolitical particularity of Lebanon and the Arab World, using the medias and the iconography of the conflicts.
His first documentary is Democracy Year Zero, an insight into the three years of struggle that led to the fall of Ben Ali and the Tunisian transition to democracy.
His second film, « Ennahdha », is a deep dive in the heart of the Tunisian islamist political party, and expore 40 years of islamist hitory in Tunisia.
